How I Love The Santa Claus Train!
Impressive fleet indeed 😊
This is so Nostalgic!
I'll get to see one tomorrow.

What’s the railroad at 1:31?
We should expand Eletric inter urban railways all across the US And Canada. 🇨🇦🇺🇸
This was released in 2008 so all of these train are all gone the BNSF warm springs local is no more but I’m still hoping it will come back someday because of the Tesla plant in Warm springs CA but as of 2024 it’s just all UP
Was this before Ferromex?
correct
Hello I’ve come from the future of 2024 nowadays there’s nothing to see any of this stuff anymore 😢
I love that warbonnet in the beginning blasting its horn 🔥
That vertical lifting bridge reminds me of the railroad bridge in Salem Oregon that got converted into a rail to trail pedestrian bridge in the late 2000’s after it was abandoned in the 1990’s.
I just realised the narrator is the game guy who did the narration for the ‘Firepower’ military documentary DVD series. Either that or they sound REALLY similar 😅
What happened to the San Manuel Arizona Railroad ore freight train?
A new era of circus trains.
The real polar express
A decade before the CPKC Merger.
Where were these filmed?
I watched this movie over and over as a kid about 10 years ago! I still love watching it to relive the memories.
what a flashback
3:53 is that ATSF Super Chief in Mazon, IL?
If I was a billionaire I would purchase more land to restore more railroads and I would have rebuilt the railroad between banks and vernonia and also the railroad from banks to Tillamook.
yk wats crazy, i used to watch this WHEN I WAS A BABY, seriously, i was like 1 - 3 years old
I wonder if the super chief scene's sound at 3:53 is real.
It would be awesome to see another 3751/4960 doubleheader or photo op on the GCRY. I wonder if that could be possible now that 3751 is slated to receive PTC equipment
0:12 this sounds familiar to 1 movie.
CHICAGO & NORTH WESTERN - 3 Tape Series - Iron Horse America It will be released by Iron Horse America 2024?
yo I used to watch this when I was like 5 years old lol
As a kid in Washington, we only had the ugly BN GP35s. Lucky you, Chicago.
There were still a few kinks to be worked out before Autotrain became reality.
That's gotta sweep train from baildi basic
I know all about it, I was like enjoying a video like this one.
Can’t believe they shut down mint a rail link in 2024 this is a sad year or it was 2023 I can’t remember
Generation ❎ Railfan. Anyone who Watches Pentrex Trains from the 1980’s and 1990’s era Made before 9/11 and the new Millennium, is a Generation X Railfan. Millenial Railfans would watch Extreme Steam 2 and Steam across the Pacific Northwest. And Gen Z Railfans would Watch Big Boy 4014 Steam and KCS Final Days before the Merger into the CPKC.
ATSF Trains hit Cars
I wish Pentrex would travel to China Russia And Brazil to film for Steam trains.
This is more entertaining than most modern content
"Early Amtrak Across Wisconsin" refers to the period following the formation of Amtrak in 1971 when the new national passenger rail service took over intercity train operations from various private railroads. Here are some key points and events related to early Amtrak operations across Wisconsin: 1. **Transition Period**: In the early 1970s, Amtrak took over passenger train services from private railroads like the Milwaukee Road, Chicago and North Western Railway (C&NW), and others. This transition led to changes in train routes, schedules, and equipment. 2. **Empire Builder**: Amtrak's flagship train, the Empire Builder, began serving Wisconsin as part of its route between Chicago, Illinois, and Seattle, Washington. This route passed through cities like Milwaukee, La Crosse, and Tomah in Wisconsin, providing a crucial link for passengers traveling between the Midwest and the Pacific Northwest. 3. **Chicago-Milwaukee Corridor**: Amtrak also introduced corridor services between Chicago and Milwaukee, enhancing connectivity and accessibility for commuters and travelers between these two major cities. 4. **Equipment and Operations**: During the early years of Amtrak, the equipment used for passenger trains was a mix of inherited cars and locomotives from different railroads, leading to the "Rainbow" trains mentioned earlier. These trains showcased a variety of paint schemes and equipment types until Amtrak developed its unified branding and standardized equipment. 5. **Local Rail Scenes**: The introduction of Amtrak brought changes to local rail scenes across Wisconsin, including stations, rail yards, and the types of trains running on the tracks. This period witnessed a blend of classic locomotives like E-9s, F-3s, F-7s, and F-9s alongside newer Amtrak equipment. 6. **Historical Significance**: The early years of Amtrak across Wisconsin marked a significant chapter in the history of passenger rail travel, showcasing both the challenges and innovations in transitioning from private to nationalized rail services. If you have specific questions or would like more details about any aspect of early Amtrak operations across Wisconsin, feel free to ask!

Wonder what happened to that 5 chime whistle that was on 3751 in the early 90’s?
I remember getting in the cab of 4018 at the state fair of Texas
